1987 ALFA ROMEO 75 TURBO
HIGHLIGHTS
- A beautiful Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo, considered by many as the last "authentic" Alfa Romeo. This model was named to pay tribute to the 75th anniversary of the Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica automobili (A.L.F.A.) and, in addition, it would be the last Alfa Romeo passenger car with propulsion until the arrival of the Giulia much later. It was in production until 1992.
- This Alfa is presented in gray with its characteristic black plastic side profiles and 17" Alfa 156 wheels.
- This revered Italian classic is powered by a 1.8-liter supercharged inline four-cylinder engine, producing 155hp transmitted to the rear through a five-speed manual gearbox.
- The odometer registers only 15,500 kilometers since new.
EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS
- Apart from the aforementioned gray body finish, this unit was originally configured with the Zender body kit, original and equipped from new. The cabin is finished with the characteristic black and gray upholstery, combined with black leather stripes on the sides. This Alfa 75 also retains the original steering wheel, as well as the rest of the equipment with which it was manufactured in 1987.
CONDITION
- This unit has been registered for the first time by its current and only owner in January 2015, already as a historic vehicle. The vehicle belonged to the unsold stock of the official Alfa Romeo dealer in the Canary Islands, Rocar S.L., and later to the classic collection of the Flick Canarias group. When this group went into insolvency proceedings, it was ruled that the entire collection was for sale, being acquired at that time by its current owner, who took it out for the first time to circulation at that time, reason for its low mileage.
- The bodywork is in perfect condition, with no damage of any kind, and retaining the original paint, in very good condition, except for a small scratch on the front bumper.
- Inside, the cabin presents very well, with no particular wear evident anywhere, in keeping with the car's low mileage. The carpeting covering the entire floor of the car, still retains the protective plastic with which it left the factory in 1987.
- Mechanically, the car remains unchanged, except for the replacement of the original head gasket with a competition gasket, to allow for future performance improvements, and the addition of four Koni shock absorbers specific to the model.
- There are no known faults in the car, no warning lights on the dashboard.
SERVICE HISTORY
- In the last overhaul (August 2022) the oil, filters, antifreeze and thermostat have been changed and the thermostat has been replaced by a new one. In addition, a small leak in the brake distributor has been repaired.
- It will be delivered with the ITV in force until 2024.
SUMMARY
This Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo is a rare example of vehicle condition and low mileage, having only been on the road for seven years. This car, with a design loaded with personality, is offered in original and freshly serviced condition. It is therefore a fantastic candidate to enter any classic youngtimer collection or a rabid companion with which to enjoy the rougher roads.
