The Mercedes S-Class has always been the flagship of the star brand, the showcase they have always used to show all their capabilities. This Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG is the most performance version of the W220 series. Produced between 1998 and 2006, its powerful V8 engine and a more radical tuning than the conventional version made it the great sports sedan of reference.
It is powered by a 5.5L naturally aspirated V8 engine developing 360 hp of power, transmitted to the 18" rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic gearbox.
The odometer of this unit registers 161,000Km since new.

This Mercedes-Benz S 55 AMG is finished in maroon, combined with the chrome lines that run along the body surrounding the fenders and side moldings. The interior upholstered in black leather with wood inserts denote the elegance that radiates and give it a sober and luxurious ergonomics.
Its AMG-signed wheels are monoblock style and are fitted with 18" dual-size tires.
The suspension, lowered compared to the "normal" version, is adjustable in height and stiffness, and the large-diameter, ventilated and perforated brakes hint at the performance claims of this vehicle.

CONDITION

First registered in 2002, this Mercedes-Benz S 55 AMG is now offered for sale by its current owner who tells us that it has no structural damage to the bodywork.
The seller indicates that the original paintwork is in good condition, although there are small marks on the rear bumper and the front bumper has a detached grille. There are no significant defects on the rims and the tires are in good condition.
As for the interior, the leather seats are in good condition, with good color tone and good cushioning, however some wear is visible on the pilot and co-pilot seat bolsters. The right rear wood trim is slightly detached. The steering wheel shows no rubbing to the leather and both the trim and door panels look fantastic.
Its owner emphasizes its smooth operation and delightful sound.

SERVICE HISTORY

This unit has recently received a complete maintenance which consisted of changing the engine oil, all filters, transmission oil, differential oil, and spark plugs.
The owner tells us that the hydropneumatic suspension (ABC) has been overhauled in 2021.
The vehicle has a valid MOT until October 2023.
